Helping adolescents and adults build independence across the spectrum.

We exist because quality ABA services shouldn't end when childhood does.

What drives everything we do

At Spectrum of Independence, we are dedicated to helping adolescents and adults of all abilities live fuller, more independent lives. Through personalized ABA programming, we cultivate social, daily living, and vocational skills that foster self-sufficiency, while honoring each person's unique strengths, goals, and dignity.

Bridging the gap for adolescents and adults

Early intervention programs have transformed the lives of countless young children on the autism spectrum. But what happens when those programs end? For many families, the transition into adolescence and adulthood brings a dramatic drop in available support — just as the demands of life become more complex.

Teenagers are navigating social dynamics, hygiene routines, and the beginnings of vocational thinking. Adults need skills for independent living, employment, and meaningful relationships. Yet the services designed for these life stages are few and far between.

Spectrum of Independence was founded to fill this gap. We focus exclusively on adolescents and adults, addressing the real-world skills that matter most for long-term independence and quality of life.

Small by choice, personal by nature

Spectrum of Independence is intentionally small. We're not trying to be the biggest provider in Milwaukee — we're focused on being the most attentive.

By keeping our caseload small, we ensure that every family receives deeply personalized attention. You'll work directly with Liz — not a rotating cast of staff — which means consistent care, stronger relationships, and someone who truly knows your family.

This boutique approach means faster communication, more flexible scheduling, and a level of responsiveness that larger agencies simply can't match.
